It's a cool idea and I can see why Lumon would need something like this, but the way it was introduced seemed to only serve as way to bypass the plot. They basically risked the whole company just so they could figure out where a flash card is? If it was that important why not get to it earlier, or if you know he did t leave with it just wait until the next day.
