I don't know if this has been mentioned before but her plan to frame her husband and kill herself in the end is extremely dimented. Like I get framing Ben Affleck, but why not run a way and enjoy life? LIke this just makes her seem creepy and unwell, I don't think that was what they were going for but it kind of ruined the movie for me.

This. They build her up as this woman in distress to I assume empower her but to kill herself seems to be counterintuitive. I think she was just imagining killing herself as part of her plan to frame, but that would be only what the police think if they found parts of her in the lake.

I just confirmed this watching it on the 10th anniversary. She imagines being dead as part of her plan to frame Ben Affleck. Her plan all a long was to go to her former boyfriends house and live a new life with him. But she had to break free when he became too controlling.
